Dolphin Sigma Composite Reviews

The DOLPHIN Sigma Robotic Pool Cleaner is DOLPHIN Sigma Robotics’ newly-made project for pool cleaning. Compared to other Dolphin cleaners like Premier, Quantum, and Cayman, it has an extra motor and the newly-developed Gyroscope technology. Its quad brush component completes the design of the latest 2020 Dolphin Sigma Robotic Pool cleaner.

For its price of $1,299, an easy-to-use robotic pool cleaner than can clean up to 60 feet with ease is available to you. Its swivel cable allows Sigma to freely move around areas that have a 60 feet range.

It provides deep cleaning that can remove bacterial build-ups on floors and walls in just two hours. The Dolphin Sigma has a top-loading cartridge filters that trap fine dust and debris, making sure that the surface is neat clean.

What to Expect of the Dolphin Sigma Robotic Pool Cleaner?

Filtration System

The Dolphin Sigma Robotic Pool Cleaner contains the largest top-loading cartridge ever for a pool robot. You don’t need to consider using debris bags because of its large, convenient dual high capacity filters.

With Sigma’s large size, it can maintain higher flow rates and suction rates compared to other robotic pool cleaners.

The cartridges of previous versions of the pool cleaner had little spaces that made debris removal almost impossible. The new Dolphin SnapLoc filter’s sides simply snap away from each other for easy cleaning.

One common problem that customers complain about is that the smaller micron filter is indifferent to the other filter.

Motor Performance

The Dolphin Sigma is the solution to all the problems of pool owners who keep on looking for the best robotic pool cleaner.  With its triple 24-Volt motors, it propels its quad scrubbing brushes to every corner of the pool area.

Even the proportional size of the front and back part balances that allows more efficient propulsion. As an efficient robotic pool cleaner, it runs on 90% less energy compared to older versions of Dolphin pool cleaners.

No major or considerable issues were reported regarding the triple motor of the Dolphin Sigma.

Quad Scrubbing Brushes

The Dolphin Sigma takes care of cleaning all of the pool’s surface up to its tile and waterline. Any pool cleaner can remove any dirt or debris on the pool’s surface, but the Dolphin Sigma can even remove adhered contaminants.

The quad scrubbing brushes can even destroy biofilm, algae, and bacteria attached to the pool floor and wall. The biofilm plaques on the pool’s surface increase the chlorine intake as they multiply rapidly, eventually, destroying the water’s quality. With the SmartNav 3.0, Dolphin Sigma’s quad brush scrubs every part of the pool efficiently.

With all of these specs of the latest Dolphin robotic pool cleaner, a few customers demanded about how it did not clean the whole pool even after four rounds. The customer’s feedback was that the machine would pass over the dirt and not picking it up.

Smart Navigation with Gyroscope

The new SmartNav 3.0 allows the Dolphin Sigma to recognize every surface of the pool that is not yet cleaned. This robotic scanning software calculates the optimal route to faster cleaning with the most efficiency.

With the help of the new gyroscopic technology, Sigma learns the paths it took to avoid any repetitions and lessens cleaning time. It ensures the complete cleaning of your pool with the most efficiency.

Gyroscope Onboard

This new Gyroscope technology is first of its own among robotic pool cleaners. It enables the Sigma to recognize its current orientation through a 3-axis gyroscope. These high-tech sensors precisely measure the rotation rate of objects around its axis.

The 3-axis of rotations (roll, pitch, and yaw) is the center of angular velocity calculated by the gyroscopic sensors. The Sigma gyroscopes provide consistently calculated information for better cleaning, climbing, and waterline maintenance.

However, most of the problems that Sigma received are about how the gyroscope was almost non-existent. It gets hung up on drains, as well as staircases. The Sigma also gets stuck at the deep end parts of the pool’s ladder according to a few of the feedbacks.

Positive Feedback

As a new robotic pool cleaner, it received lots of compliments. The customers praised how well it cleaned the waterline and scrubbed the walls of the pool. There is not much cleaning needed because of the easily removable, top-loaded filters. They only used a garden hose to clean the filters.

People who ordered mostly praised the easily cleaned filters with not much debris attached to it. The high-performance triple motor also helped to get Sigma high praises. With its gyroscope technology, people didn’t need to hire someone to clean their pools but instead rely on this device.

Negative Feedback

Most of the negative feedback focused on how the Sigma cleaners are turned on the app but are not moving physically. This was a technical difficulty with the smartphone app, which was not developed enough to match with the cleaner.

Others claimed that the Dolphin Sigma did not clean some parts of the pool even after going through it for three to four cycles. It even got stuck on the pool’s ladder and drains. For some people, they needed to assist the cleaner in climbing a wall and ascending from the pool.
